I worked for Clearwater Pool Management for three years. During those three years, I had a great experience working for Melissa Sherman and Clearwater. Clearwater Pool Management is a very well organized and well-run company and Melissa cares a great deal about her employees. She was always accommodating of the lifeguards pool preferences and worked hard at assigning lifeguards to the pool of their choice. Not only did Melissa care for the needs and preferences of her employees but she made sure that her employees were well trained and prepared for any scenario that may arise during work. I felt very comfortable coming to work every day because I knew I was properly trained in First Aid/CPR as well as pool maintenance. By having in-service trainings and drills throughout the summer I was ready for any situation that may occur. Not only were the employees receiving great care by Clearwater but also the patrons of the pools I worked at. Throughout my summers working for Clearwater, I received numerous compliments for Clearwater Pool Management and Melissa. The patrons were very impressed with service being provided by Clearwater. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed working for Melissa and Clearwater during my three years with the company. Lifeguarding is a serious job and should not be taken lightly, however, Clearwater was able to create a fun and safe working environment while not neglecting professionalism and the seriousness of the job.

Working for Clearwater Pool Management was such a joy. The management is great and really takes the time to care and get to know their employees. I didn’t just learn how to be a better lifeguard but I got real life skills that will help me with future endeavors. I worked for Clearwater Pool Management from February 2015 through Labor Day 2015 as an Aquatic Technician. Melissa and Steve Sherman go to great lengths to ensure a safe environment for swimmers of all ages. Their insistence on meeting and exceeding strict water quality standards is exceptional. As a life-long swimmer, lap swimming continues to be an integral part of my cross-training regime. I would never hesitate to swim in and to have my family swim in any of the pools they maintain. In addition, I personally witnessed their painstaking efforts to employ and train only the most qualified and dedicated lifeguards. No doubt, Melissa and Steve have helped mold many young lifeguards into adults who possess a model work ethic far surpassing their peers.

Both of my children worked for Clearwater Pool Management during the summer of 2018 — it was a great experience for both – so much so that they are planning to work for them in 2019. It’s a great job for a High School or College Student – very flexible hours, opportunity to work more hours if wanted, and good pay. Provides leadership experience at the single guard pools since they are in charge — with support behind the scenes – a supervisor is a text away if needed. They provide monthly meetings to go over skills and issues and offer training to become lifeguard certified. A great company for teens and up looking for summer employment!
